THE 2012 HINO 198 ADVANTAGE

The all new Hino 198 features the Hino J-series 7.6L 6 cylinder turbo diesel engine with 220 horsepower and 520 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is coupled to an Allison 6 speed 1000RDS automatic transmission that provides PTO capability. This truck has a GVW of 19,500 lbs. and has front axle and rear axle capacities of 7,280 lbs. and 13,660 lbs. respectively.

Four wheelbases are available, from 152” to 205”. A low frame height of less than 36” over the rear axle is ideal for applications requiring low loading height. All 198 models are equipped with hydraulic disc brakes with ABS as standard equipment. Optional Hendrickson rear air suspension provides a smooth ride and is ideal for shock sensitive loads.
