Hino Canada Welcomes New President

MISSISSAUGA — Hino Motors, Ltd. of Japan announced the appointment of Mr. Shuichi Kaneko as the President of Hino Motors Canada, Ltd. Mr. Kaneko succeeds Mr. Shin Nakamura who held the position for four years and has now been assigned to Asia. Prior to his new assignment in Canada, Mr. Kaneko was the General Manager of the Asia Oceania Division for Hino Motors, Ltd. He has 30 years of experience with Hino and has extensive knowledge of selling Hino products to the North American market. During his tenure with Hino, Mr. Kaneko has served as the Senior Vice President of Hino Motors Sales, USA and he has fulfilled Sales and Marketing assignments for the Middle East and Australia.

Canadian National Skills Champion

 

We would like to congratulate Darcey Haanen of Hino Truck Sales (Saskatoon) for bring home the title of Canadian National Skills Champion.

 

National Skills Competition 

 

Hino Motors Canada is pleased to announce the six finalists in the 2010 NATIONAL SKILLS COMPETITION.

 

The top 6 technicians were chosen based on the combined test results of the DTC Training Module, 2011MY Introduction Module and the 2010EPA Technical Training Class. The finalists will be invited to compete in an ELECTRONIC TRUCK CHALLENGE on April 02, 2011. The event will be held at the HMC Technical Training Centre in Woodstock Ontario.

 

This CHALLENGE will consist of several electronic “bugs” being placed on a 2012MY vehicle. The technician who can diagnose the most “bugs” in an allocated amount of time will be declared the 2010 SKILLS COMPETITION CHAMPION.

 

The 2010 SKILLS COMPETITION CHAMPION will win $1000. In addition, the SKILLS CHAMPION and their Service Manager will be invited to Japan to participate in training on the new COE / Hybrid vehicle.
